MecWash Duo visits Wisconsin Show

A MecWash Duo component cleaning system will be on display at the Wisconsin Manufacturing and Technology Show (WIMTS) next month to showcase the system to potential US customers.

One of the Tewkesbury based company’s US distributors, Quality Machinery Systems (QMS) from Illinois, are displaying the Duo on their stand at WIMTS, an event billed as Manufacturing's Marketplace in the Midwest.

John Pattison, managing director at MecWash Systems, says: “We have exported our aqueous component cleaning systems to the USA for more than a decade, initially to existing UK customers opening new manufacturing facilities and duplicating processes and equipment which they were familiar with.

“The US precision engineering sector is huge, so theoretically the potential MecWash market is correspondingly large. Hence we have sought US distributors who work with the precision engineering sector and with high quality machinery who could promote the quality of finish that our machines can offer to many leading names based in the States and QMS were among those appointed.

“Our North America operations manager, Bill Westbrook, will be joining QMS at this show to give further support for MecWash among existing and potential US customers.  I am delighted that the stand will include a MecWash Duo 400 because we know manufacturers like to see our machines in action.

“The bespoke nature of our products means trade shows are an excellent way of meeting potential customers face to face to explain the benefits of a MecWash system in person.  The Duo 400 is popular in many different sectors because it is versatile, compact and good value” he added.

The Duo provides immersion washing, spray washing, spray rinsing and hot air drying all in a single chamber with the components rotating about a horizontal axis. This high specification equipment typically includes bag or cartridge filtration, an oil separator, automatic chemical dosing and PLC / HMI controls and diagnostics.

John added: “Show visitors regularly comment on the relatively small footprint of the Duo, the speed of the complete wash, rinse and drying cycle, and the variety of functions it has to offer. Duos are in daily operation for companies working in industries including aerospace, automotive, defence, hydraulics and general engineering around the world and we are sure it will be popular at WIMTS.”

WIMTS runs from October 3-5 at Wisconsin State Fair Exposition Center in Halls A and B and is Wisconsin’s largest manufacturing event with nearly 5,000 people attending the last show. QMS can be found on Stand 1330. You can find out more about MecWash in the US here
