A longstanding client, a leading manufacturer in the aerospace industry, had a tough cleaning requirement for turbine bearing housings. The components were large and complex, with internal galleries and long tubes, yet they demanded a very high standard of cleanliness. We devised a large scale system to deliver standards normally only found in much smaller scale specialist machines. The challenge in this particular application was to adequately flush out the numerous internal galleries, channels and tubes.
The solution was for MecWash to design and building its largest machine to date, the ‘SuperMaxi’, based on existing processes but scaled up to handle the large component size.
