A quick look back at 2013…..

The last 12 months have been extremely busy for MecWash; our aqueous component washing machines have been demonstrated at a number of high-profile trade shows and exhibitions all over the UK, as well as in Europe and North America - generating a significant amount of interest in our cleaning capabilities.

We’ve completed a number of installations for high-profile clients around the world, including one for Advanex Europe which was the direct result of a meeting at MACH 2012. Details of other installations, both in the UK and USA, can be found by visiting our dedicated case studies page, or by selecting the case studies category in our blog.

Global sales
2013 saw MecWash continue to grow its global presence – business is steadily increasing in North America where attendance at PMTS in April, followed by EASTEC in May, significantly boosted MecWash’s profile with US manufacturers.

Sales are also rising in China where our representative, Gordon King, has been appointed to push more actively into the Chinese market, as well as supporting existing customers. Our first Chinese distributor has been appointed and we’ll be launching a Chinese website next year to ensure all of our product information is easily accessible to customers in China, and will be exhibiting at CMMT in February.

New products
The bespoke turbine blade wash machine, BladeWash, proved so successful for one of our long-standing jet engine manufacturing clients, that we added it to our standard product range. Although originally designed for a very niche application, the BladeWash can be designed and adapted to flush out debris/oils from a number of different components with complicated geometries, making it ideal for a wide range of challenging cleaning applications.

Looking forward to 2014
2014 will mark MecWash’s 20th year in business! We’ll be celebrating this significant milestone by finding out what has happened to some of the first MecWash machines to leave production – why not keep up to date with our findings by following us on LinkedIn.

We’ll also be attending a number of UK trade shows and Open House events throughout the year, starting with The West of England Aerospace Forum (WEAF) conference in February, followed by MACH 2014 in April, Northern Manufacturing in Manchester in October and Aero Engineering at the NEC in November, where we’ll be exhibiting for the fifth year running.

Managing Director, John Pattison, says, “Now entering its 20th year in business, MecWash has established a global reputation as a leading manufacturer of high-quality aqueous cleaning systems.  We look forward to building on this over the next 20 years, developing a broader and more global customer base and supporting them with their cleaning challenges.”

MecWash’s factory will be closed from 24th December-2nd January – we wish you a Merry Christmas and look forward to solving your component cleaning requirements in 2014.
